Dr. Malusi Mncube is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Johannesburg. His research focuses on global political economy, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, decolonized education, artificial intelligence, identity politics, and the intersection of Pan-Africanism with the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
Before transitioning to academia, Dr. Mncube gained extensive experience in the corporate and development sectors, specializing in finance, investment, banking, and marketing. His professional and academic pursuits have taken him across the globe, enriching his perspectives on international political and economic dynamics.


He began his undergraduate studies at the University of Johannesburg in 2015 and went on to complete his Honours, Master’s, and PhD degrees. His doctoral research examined the impact of emerging technologies on African governance and economic development, with a particular focus on the African Union’s integration and development agenda.Dr. Mncube is the author of the forthcoming book Uniting Africa: The Politics of Integration and Development Cooperation and is currently working on his next book, BRICS and De-dollarization: The Pivot to a Multipolar World. He is also affiliated with several international organizations, including the Institute for Pan-African Thought and Conversation at the University of Johannesburg.
